2025 年，TWICE 高雄首場個唱，等了十年才落地的一夜。子瑜信裡反覆提到的「small flame」，成了 Rhee 這次創作抓住的畫面。

雕塑加上炭筆，畫廊這次變成一座聖堂，紀念那一夜，也紀念熬了十年的 ONCE。

TWICE’s first solo concert in Kaohsiung, 2025, ten years in the making. Tzuyu’s words that night keep circling back to one phrase: “small flame.” That’s the image Rhee builds the show around.

Sculpture, charcoal, and a gallery turned into something closer to a shrine — for that night, and for the ONCE who waited a decade for it.

Rhee has long been drawn to the gestures and physical presence of K-pop idols: how their bodies carry meaning, desire, and collective emotion. This exhibition's starting point is TWICE's first solo concert in Taiwan, held in Kaohsiung in 2025: a performance ten years in the making, one that quietly negotiated national borders and political reality.
The exhibition takes its title from a letter Tzuyu read aloud to the audience that night. The phrase "small flame," which recurs throughout her words, speaks to the quiet hope she has carried since her trainee days. It becomes the core image of Rhee's work: a single body, a single night, holding both private hope and political weight.
Working in sculpture and charcoal drawing, Rhee transforms the gallery into a small temple, commemorating the performance and honoring the ONCE whose devotion outlasted a decade of waiting.

Rhee 長期關注 K-pop 偶像的姿態與身體存在感，以及那些身體如何承載意義、渴望與集體情感。這次的創作起點，來自 TWICE 2025 年在高雄舉辦的首場台灣個人演唱會：一場等了十年、悄然跨越國界與政治現實的演出。
展覽名稱取自子瑜在台上朗讀的一封信。信中反覆出現的「small flame」，是她從練習生時期一路守護至今的靜默盼望，也成為 Rhee 這次創作的核心意象：一個身體、一個夜晚，同時裝著私人的盼望與政治的重量。
Rhee 以雕塑與炭筆素描，將畫廊轉化為一座小型神殿，紀念這場演出，也獻給以信念等待了十年的 ONCE 們。

Donghoon Rhee: Small Flame

“From that moment, a small flame of hope was lit in my heart.” Kaohsiung, 2025. At TWICE’s first solo concert in Taiwan, ten years after their debut, Tzuyu read this letter aloud on stage, moving the ONCE in the arena.

Korean artist Donghoon Rhee (b. 1991) takes this line as the starting point for Small Flame, his first solo exhibition in Taiwan. Long attentive to the bodies and gestures of K-pop idols, Rhee found in that night in Kaohsiung a moment where pop culture and political history converged.
Rhee majored in painting at Kyung Hee University and later received his MFA from Seoul National University of Science and Technology. He is known for his wood sculptures, following the grain and density of the material to find form, then translating each sculpture back into painting — moving between the two mediums in a continuous act of looking. Recent solo exhibitions include Gallery SP in Seoul and VSF&milk in Los Angeles, alongside group presentations at the Changwon Sculpture Biennale and the Seoul Museum of Art, among other institutions. His work is held in the collections of X Museum in Beijing, Jeju Museum of Contemporary Art, Ulsan Art Museum, and the Art Bank of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea.
Through sculpture and charcoal drawing, the exhibition transforms the gallery into a small shrine — dedicated to the performer on stage, and to the ONCE who waited ten years, sustained by belief.

韓國藝術家 Donghoon Rhee（b. 1991）以這句話為起點，展開他在台灣的首次個展《Small Flame》。長期關注 K-pop 偶像的身體與姿態，Rhee 在那個高雄之夜，看見流行文化與政治歷史交匯的瞬間。
Rhee 於慶熙大學主修繪畫，後取得首爾科學技術大學藝術碩士。他以木雕聞名，順著木料的紋理與密度尋找形體，再將雕塑轉譯回繪畫，在兩種媒材之間反覆觀看。近年曾於首爾 Gallery SP 與洛杉磯 VSF&milk 舉辦個展，並參與昌原雕塑雙年展、北首爾市立美術館等機構聯展。作品獲北京 X Museum、濟州現代美術館、蔚山美術館及韓國國立現代美術館美術銀行典藏。
