monouno: An Unarrived Hello 對著空號說你好

The core philosophy monouno of lies in blurring the boundaries between art and everyday furniture, subtly integrating the sculptor‘s habitual contemplation of form, space, and the body into usable objects.

The essence of this exhibition revolves around our feelings towards the concepts of ”Unassigned Numbers,“ ”Blanks,“ and ”Unreceived Greetings.“ The artist transforms the experience of dialing a phone only to have no one answer into a gentle call to the unknown. The persistent ”beep—“ sound is not an empty void, but rather a space filled with all the interrupted connections and unspoken words. The works challenge the fixed utility of objects in reality. Much like renaming a sofa or a dining table, the physical entities within the pieces are repositioned and reoriented, becoming an extension of the body and responding to that untraceable, unconnected frequency.

monouno 的核心理念在於模糊藝術品與日常家具的界線，將雕塑家對形式、空間與身體的慣常思考，巧妙地融入到可被使用的物件之中。

展覽的核心圍繞著我們對「空號」、「空白」和「未抵達的問候」的感受。藝術家將撥出電話卻無人接聽的經驗，轉化為一種對未知的溫柔呼喚。那持續的「嘟——」聲，不是空白，而是充滿了所有中斷的連線與未說完的話。挑戰現實中物件的固有用途。如同將沙發和餐桌重新命名，作品中的實體被重新擺放、轉向，成為身體的延伸，回應那個無法接通的頻率。

Artemin Gallery is pleased to announce the solo exhibition of the art and design collective「monouno」, running from November 29 to December 20, 2025.

Founded in 2021 by two sculptors, Hsu Jui-Chien and Chiang Chiao-Chin, monouno’s core philosophy is to blur the boundaries between artworks and everyday furniture. The collective subtly integrates the sculptor’s habitual contemplation of form, space, and the body into usable objects. Their works deliberately challenge the traditional definitions of functionality and aesthetics.

The exhibition’s core revolves around our perception of the “unreachable number,” the “void,” and the “unarrived greeting.” The artists transform the experience of dialing a number that remains unanswered into a gentle beckoning to the unknown. The sustained “beep—“ is not empty; rather, it is filled with all the interrupted connections and words left unsaid.

Monouno challenges the fixed purpose of objects in reality. Much like renaming a sofa or dining table, the physical entities in their work are rearranged and reoriented to become extensions of the body, responding to that unreachable frequency. The exhibition explores how, even in a state of disconnection, we maintain the “posture of speaking” and address that void, seeking an alternative possibility to link with the “side that has yet to be picked up.”

Artemin Gallery 將於 2025 年 11 月 29 日至 12月 20 日舉辦藝術設計團體 monouno 個展，「monouno」由兩位雕塑系藝術家徐瑞謙與江蕎勤於 2021 年創立，monouno 的核心理念在於模糊藝術品與日常家具的界線，將雕塑家對形式、空間與身體的慣常思考，巧妙地融入到可被使用的物件之中。他們的作品挑戰了功能性與美學的傳統定義。這次展覽將在空間中創造一場關於「未接通訊」與「存在的對話」，邀請觀眾在日常與抽象之間，尋找另一種連結的可能性。
