Artemin Gallery

We are honored to present the works of Atom Pavarit, Butsapasila Wanjing, and Taiwanese artist Nung-Hsuan Cheng at Access Bangkok 2024.

Atom Pavarit
Atom Pavarit (b. 2000, Bangkok, Thailand) graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Painting from the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts at Silpakorn University in 2022. Atom’s work delves into the collective memory of historical events and explores the profound relationship between humans and nature. He believes in the interconnectedness of events and their enduring impact on society.
Atom presents reinterpretations of historical events within contemporary contexts through experimental painting. His work was prominently featured at ‘Save Point’ at Kinjai Contemporary in 2022, where he introduced new perspectives on historical narratives. Continuing his exploration, Atom has challenged conventional views of collective memory by placing historical events in new cultural frameworks, as showcased in the exhibitions ‘AMBIVALOVE’ at Alte Handelsschule and ‘D.E.T’ at Pilotenkeuche during his residency in Germany in 2023.

Butsapasila Wanjing
Butsapasila Wanjing (b. 2000, Bangkok, Thailand) whose work delves into the historical and cultural landscapes of Thailand, addressing political, social, and environmental themes.
Butsapasila explores the process of creating collective memories through informal
storytelling across diverse contexts. This includes forms such as folk legends, historical fiction, mystical beliefs passed down orally, as well as conspiracy theories circulating on blogs, alongside personal memories from his own youth.
Much of his work delves into the historical memory of the Thai state, with a particular focus
on the northern region. His research examines the transformative period between the colonial era and the Cold War, a time when perceptions of space were shifting, laying the foundation for contemporary and future worldviews.

Nung-Hsuan Cheng
CHENG Nung-Hsuan was born in Taipei in 1983 and graduated from the Taipei National University of Arts in 2006. Recent works encompass a variety of themes including landscapes, figures, plants and animals, exploring the potential for painting to self-narrate through the use of fluid shapes and color combinations in an expressive scene, as well as inspire new interpretations through the viewer’s personal experiences, inviting them to engage with the artwork on a deeper level. His works have been exhibited in Eslite Gallery(2023), AKI Gallery, Taipei (2020), Instinc Art Space, Singapore (2019), Eslite Gallery, Taipei (2019). His works had awarded Kaohsiung Awards, Judges’ Award(2006), New Perspective Art in Taiwan, Judges’ Award(2005), Call for Young Artists, Judges’ Award(2005).
