Mirza Cizmic
藝廊於 2023 年為他舉辦台灣首次個展「The Immortal Fairy Tales of the Spotless Voices」,2025 年再推出個展「Confessions of the Beautiful Mind and the Echoes Forgotten Tomorrows」,並參與聯展「Flora Botanica」(2024)。
Mirza Cizmic (b. 1985, Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina) trained in Sweden and received his MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts, Uniarts Helsinki, in 2019. He lives and works in Helsinki. Having spent his childhood in wartime Bosnia, Cizmic turns that history into cinematic, darkly humorous paintings: living rooms, backyards and bathrooms populated by Batman, ghosts, pink objects and half-dressed neighbours, scenes that are absurd yet unsettlingly real. His ongoing Metamorphosis series takes masculine bravado as its punchline, probing gender and power.
Represented by Artemin Gallery, Cizmic made his Taiwan debut with The Immortal Fairy Tales of the Spotless Voices (2023), followed by Confessions of the Beautiful Mind and the Echoes Forgotten Tomorrows (2025). His work has been shown at the Porvoo Triennale, Vantaa Art Museum Artsi, Rovaniemi Art Museum and Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts, and is held in the collections of the PARKSEOBO Foundation (South Korea), Vantaa Art Museum Artsi and Rovaniemi Art Museum.
